PTCS is a communication and workflow-tracking tool, not a certified emergency medical dispatch system, and it is not a substitute for your hospital's established emergency communication and handoff protocols. Specifically:

• Not a real-time-guaranteed channel. Like any chat application, messages can be delayed, missed, or affected by network or platform issues. For any transfer involving a time-critical or life-threatening change in patient status, staff must use direct telephone contact or their hospital's existing emergency protocols in addition to — not instead of — this system.

• Not an ambulance dispatch or life-safety system. Status indicators (e.g., "traveling," "arrived") and any location/ETA information reflect what has been entered or transmitted through the app and may not be current. They do not replace verified confirmation between sending and receiving teams by phone or radio.

• No guarantee of uptime or delivery. CVDapp.com does not warrant that the system will be available, error-free, or free of delay at any given moment. Hospitals should maintain a fallback communication method for patient transfers.

• Accuracy of information is the responsibility of the entering staff member. Patient names, diagnoses, and case details entered into PTCS are provided by hospital staff and are not independently verified by CVDapp.com. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating physicians and staff at each site.

4. No Patient Relationship

Use of CVDapp.com's tools — including PTCS — does not establish a doctor-patient relationship between CVDapp.com's creators or contributors and any patient, sender, receiver, or other user.

5. Limitation of Liability

CVDapp.com disclaims responsibility for any direct or indirect damages — including clinical errors, delayed or failed message delivery, adverse patient outcomes, system downtime, or lost profits — arising from use of either the clinical reference tools or the Patient Transfer Chat System.

6. Data Privacy

Our clinical reference tools collect no personal health data; calculations occur locally in your browser. The Patient Transfer Chat System, by contrast, does process patient and case information as part of its core function of coordinating transfers between hospitals.
