IV drip rate calculator

This formula provides a method for administering medications based on a weight-based infusion rate. It is a valuable tool for calculating the infusion rate of medications via a pump in order to achieve the desired therapeutic dosing.

Formula Composition

Depending on the units you choose, the general structure of the formula is as follows:

**IV Drip Rate (mL/hour) = (60 min/hr) x (Dose in mcg/kg/min) x (Weight in kg) x (Bag Volume in mL) / (1000 mcg/mg) x (Drug in Bag in mg)**

This formula allows healthcare professionals to accurately determine the infusion rate needed for patient medication.
